About Us
 Sean Mc Dermott Boxing Club was founded in 1941 and is one of the oldest Community
organisations in Manorhamilton.
The Club has produced four All Ireland Champions, John Mc Gowan, James Kelly, Kieran
Maguire, and John O Flanagan.
In 2004 there were two Connacht titles won by Damian Mc Dermott and Alan Lindsay
respectively.
The Head Coach at the Club is John Gilligan and additional Coaches are Eugene Clancy
and Larry Mc Dermott. The Club caters for boxers from 8 eight years of age upwards.
It is affiliated to the Irish Amateur Boxing Association and to the Leitrim Roscommon area Board.
 Through its dedicated staff, management team and volunteers, NCYCS aims to provide support for
the development of young people. This is achieved by providing a comprehensive service based on
the concept that quality youth work is an effective setting for the social education and personal
development of young people.
